Duplicate E-mail notifications for AutoSys job failures

Issue/Introduction

Customer may receive multiple emails upon failure of a job within Workload Automation AE. If this is unwanted, this article will provide guidance on resolving.

Environment

Release : 11.3.6

Component : CA Workload Automation AE (AutoSys)

Cause

Job attribute notification_alarm_types specified in job for a duplicate event type.

Resolution

By default, if email notifications are properly configured, emails are sent for FAILURE events. So, it is unnecessary to add notification_alarm_type for JOBFAILURE event.
Removing additional notification_alarm_type: JOBFAILURE from the job definition resolves this issue.
