Resolution

A compatibility issue exists between CA PDSMAN and the Informatica Power Exchange product. S0C1 abends may occur in the Informatica Power Exchange address space following a PDSMAN stop and restart.

When Informatica Power Exchange customers enable any form of Capture on z/OS, Power Exchange enables an SVC screening table. As an example, IMS Capture does enable SVC screening. For non Capture customers the SVC screening is not used.

When Informatica activates SVC screening, selected SVC entry point addresses are saved from the system SVC table in the Informatica private storage. If PDSMAN is stopped and restarted it is possible for the entry point for SVCs that PDSMAN front-ends to be at different locations. Use of the now obsolete SVC entry point addresses may lead to the S0C1 abends.

IMPACT: Impact is limited to Informatica Power Exchange sites that use the Informatica capture function. There is no effect on PDSMAN.

CIRCUMVENTION: The Informatica Power Exchange product should be stopped and restarted when PDSMAN is cycled.
