Linux system assessment scan completes with errors seen in the aex-client.log like these:

SWUAgent-AssessmentScanJobImpl > Failed to assessment scan: /usr/bin/env: perl: No such file or directory
SWUAgent-VulnerabilityTaskCatalogDownloadInitiator > Assessment scan job completion signal received

Environment

Patch Management Solution 8.x

Cause

A perl package is needed to run the Linux System Assessment Scan.

Resolution

Install the perl package via yum and then run the Linux System Assessment Scan again.
