Issue/Introduction

User authentication for all the users fails on all the SSO protected resources.

Cause

Audit store is unable to insert the audit data into the Audit store due to this Policy server thread pool wait time has increased to respond to the new incoming request and delayed in authentication request.

smps.log

Resolution

Disable the Audit store connection , enable the policy server audit logging to text file and also restart the policy servers fixed the issue and requested customer to investigate the DB performance for failure of inserting the audit data log. 

Additional Information

To check the policy server thread pool usage execute the command on the policy server : smpolicysrv -stats
