Issue/Introduction

After going through the migration steps defined in https://techdocs.broadcom.com/content/broadcom/techdocs/us/en/ca-enterprise-software/it-operations-management/performance-management/3-7/administrating/disaster-recovery.html can the DcmID of the migrated data collector be changed to match the host name of the collector?

Environment

CAPM 3.x

Resolution

The answer is no.  The DcmID of the data collector must remain the same, as it is stamped in the database.  If that were to change you would have all the monitored items associated to the wrong DcmID in the database
