Can an entire Endevor Package be backed via package ship without actually backing out the package using the BACKOUT option on the package menu
Release : 18.0 18.1
Component : CA Endevor Software Change Manager
Without ASIS enabled Endevor will show exactly what is being shipped.
Outputs - the original outputs are shipped, even if the entire package or some of the elements have been backed out.
Backouts - the original package backouts are shipped regardless of the backout status of the package.
With ASIS enabled, the need to be aware of what the status of the package is to understand what is going to be shipped.
One nice feature of having ASIS enabled, is if a package was shipped and then after it was executed on the remote side, it was determined necessary to perform a backout (full or of selective elements), you will get messages letting you know which remote destinations were shipped to and you may need to perform backouts to them as well.
