Issue/Introduction

How is the 'Resource Availability (threshold)' found under the Resource Profile - Allocation - Details tab calculated?

Environment

Release : 15.6.1

Component : CA PPM SAAS RESOURCE MANAGEMENT

Resolution

The value for the threshold is determined based on what attribute is selected to be used as the threshold on the specific portlet or view. When the portlet displays a 'Resource Availability (threshold)', this means that the Resource Availability attribute was selected to be the threshold for this portlet. In this case, the resource's availability displays as the threshold for any given period.

The attribute for the threshold can be changed under Configure - List Column Section - Options. There will be a 'Column and Bar Graph Summary' section towards the bottom of this screen, the Threshold column will have the attribute that has been selected to be the threshold for the aggregation row bar graph. Out of the box, it's the 'Resource Availability' for the Allocation Details portlet found under the resource's profile.

By clicking on the 'Allocation by Period' link on this section, there is an option to change the Threshold Line Attribute, Threshold Aggregation Function and Over-Threshold Color.
