Monitor and Review HEAPPOOLS Summary:
 
Whenever you stop LDAP, you will see
data like shown below.  
If the 5th column (Extents) starts getting very high numbers,
then that indicates some tuning might help.

If receiving thousands of extents allocated, then tuning might help
