Issue/Introduction

Exported Service Catalog offering with Role and Group based permissions from one system  does not import with the permissions to another system.  The Offering imports but the permissions are not imported.

1.  On a catalog system ,  pick up an offering ,   in offering's permissions tab ,  set only an specific role and a specific group can access it . 

 

2.  then export this offering ,  make sure to check "Include Permissions" checkbox . 

 

3.  check this exported file ,  you will see it contains the Permissions information in it 

 

4.  now import this file  into  a catalog 17.1 RU2 or  onward version ,  make sure  uncheck "Quick Import" checkbox and check  "Include Permissions" checkbox .  After importing,  check this offering on the target system , you will see "Permissions" information is not imported at all . 

 

Cause

Note :  this problem doesn't occur on 17.1 GA env ,  but occur after 17.1 RU2 and onward versions

Resolution

It is regression defect .  This defect is addressed with Service Management  17.2 rollup7 maintenance patch .
