How to create a report in a single view with data sets with a type of SMS and MVS in a user group with VAM

Issue/Introduction

I need a way to generate a report that can combine and display data sets with a type of SMS and MVS in a user group with VAM data sets, all in the same report or dashboard.

Resolution

Create a join between the "Storage Group Volumes" (POOLVOLS) and "All Data sets" (DTOC4SYS) objects. Define the Base object POOLVOLS with a filter for the desired SG type (VAM, USR for example.). Define the Candidate object DTOC4SYS with no filter, and the Join field set to "Volume". This creates a joined object with of all data sets from storage groups for the filtered SG Types.
