Issue/Introduction

During a Disaster Recovery failover test, the SSL configured Performance Center web UI returns an error.

Launching the Performance Center URL against port 8182 works and redirects to the SSO port 8382. It's here that the error appears without presenting the expected log in option.

The error states "The application associated with this instance of Single Sign-On does not appear to be running"

Both Production primary and Disaster Recovery backup servers have different host names, but the certificates in the production server cacerts and keystore files are set up to work for both servers to easier failover stand up operations allowing easy copy of the cert files between servers.

Environment

All supported Performance Management releases

Cause

The (default path) /opt/CA/jre/lib/security/cacerts and /opt/CA/PerformanceCenter/jetty/etc/keystore files were not copied from production to backup.

Resolution

Stop the Performance Center Console and SSO services.

Move the (default path) /opt/CA/jre/lib/security/cacerts and /opt/CA/PerformanceCenter/jetty/etc/keystore files from production to disaster recovery backup server.

Restart the Performance Center Console and SSO services.
