Issue/Introduction

• Traps not getting through to Spectrum server when using SystemEDGE Sendtrap utility.

Environment

Release : 5.9

Component : SYSTEMDGE

Cause

• The default from address for the sendtrap utility is local host which may confuse Spectrum Server when it receives the trap as it doesn't know which device to assert the trap against.

Resolution

• Add the -f switch (from_address) to the Sentrap Command which will then contain the IP Address of the source within the trap.
