Issue/Introduction

How to remove the vApp machine from the multiple-node deployment which is already deployed?

Environment

Release: 14.5
Component: CA IDENTITY SUITE (VIRTUAL APPLIANCE)

Resolution

Please perform as follows.

  1. Make sure all nodes are up and running
  2. Go to the virtual appliance dashboard > Setup page.
  3. Remove all services of the removal nodes by dragging out all services of the removal nodes.
  4. Click Deploy button.
  5. Click X in upper right corner of node to completely remove the node. 

Additional Information

Only after performing this operation you can shutdown the node and decommission it.
