One of our client wants to implement 'client' on their agent machine, so they are able to run the scheduler commands "autorep, sendevent, etc" from the client machine thru jobs.
Now, we have the below questions:
1. Any port need to be open between scheduler and client? or vise versa for the client to be able to perform as desired?
2. What are the setting need to be set to be able to help client perform the scheduler commands?
3. Does the port need to be open both-way?
Release : 11.3.6

Below are listed as Question and Answer:
Question: Any port need to be open between scheduler and client? or vise versa for the client to be able to perform as desired?
Answer: Client uses application server to connect to Scheduler server. Make sure you have ports 7163 and 7500 are open from both sides.
Question: What are the setting need to be set to be able to help client perform the scheduler commands?
Answer: There are no manual settings if i understand your query. Client can be installed while scheduler is running. Make Sure there are no firewall blockages and host should be able to communicate with Scheduler server.
Question: Does the port need to be open both way?
