Issue/Introduction

In the TSSCFILE output, in record id code 1700, there is a 3 character code in columns 5-8. For example (codes in red):

eg.
170006E   acid          OTRAN  ...
17000D7   acid          PROGRAM ...
1700010   acid       xxxx ...
1700014   acid       yyyy ...

06E - OTRAN
0D7 - PROGRAM
010 - xxxx
014 -yyyy
etc,

Is there a full list of these 3 character long codes which refers to the actual resource classes for each code?

Resolution

The 3 characters in columns 5-8 are the hexadecimal resource code for that resource class. The resource class associated with the resource code is displayed on the same line in columns 33-40 in the 1700 record.

User defined resource classes have a resource code between x’01’ and x’3F’ or x’101’ and x’13F’. Predefined resource classes have a resource code between x’40’ and x’FF’ or x’140’ and x’1FF’.

A TSS LIST(RDT) command can be issued to see all the resources classes and the resource codes as well as the other attributes/access levels. Issuing this in a batch job allows the saving of the output.
