ACF2 ACF2 - z/OS ACF2 - MISC

Issue/Introduction

Another system is needed that runs ACF2.  Only system programming staff needs access.  Is there an easy way to copy the logonid records into a new ACF2 database?

Environment

Release : 16.0

Component : CA ACF2 for z/OS

Resolution

The ACF2 backup file is a sequential dataset that contains all the same information that the VSAM database does.  Edit the file to contain only the logonids that are needed, and then do an IDCAMS REPRO into the new VSAM database file.  The JCL used to populate the Alternate databases can be used as a sample.  Any active database cannot be used since ACF2 holds them with DISP=OLD while they are active.
