Issue/Introduction

When trying to edit any Synapse setting by checking or unchecking the setting, you may see Invalid Synapse Config.

Cause

Previous versions of the ATP software allowed punctuation in the SEPM DB name field. SEDR 4.0 and later do not allow any characters besides alphanumeric, space and _ (underscore).

Resolution

Edit the settings for any SEPM DB connections where the Name column has any special characters or punctuation.

Change the Entry name to conform to the stated requirements.

Click Save.

Warning: If the license has expired or there are multiple database entries with invalid characters, SEDR appliance will need to be manually remediated by Support.
