CA Automic Workload Automation - Automation Engine

Issue/Introduction

When attempting to perform activities within the Automic Web Interface that utilize the Java Communication Process (JCP), an error similar to the following is shown:

Can't connect to any REST endpoint, please check if at least one JCP is running and reachable via the network.

Environment

Release : 12.3

Component : AUTOMIC WEB INTERFACE

Resolution

The JCP is responsible for REST endpoint management; the Automation Engine uses this internally for many activities within the AWI. Therefore, it is vital that:

1.) JCP's are active and connected to the system properly.
2.) JCP's are available for access to the AWI on the REST port (default 8088)

Make sure that the JCP's show proper communication and the AWI server can communicate to the AE server on the defined REST port.
