Using View PGM=SARDBASE, can you allocate database extents to SMS volumes?

What would be specified for VOLSER=xxxxxx?

Resolution

The structure of the SARDBASE ADDDS statement is as follows:

ADDDS
  ABOVE
  INDEX|DATA
  BLKSIZE=
  CYLINDER=
  DATACLASS=
  MGMTCLAS=
  STORCLAS=
  UNIT=
  VOLSER=

The SMS-related parameters are:

. . DATACLAS   = Specifies the data class of an SMS data set
. . MGMTCLAS = Specifies the management class of an SMS data set
. . STORCLAS  = Specifies the storage class of an SMS data set

If SMS is being used, then the UNIT and VOLSER parameters would be omitted.
