SYSVIEW Performance Management Option for DB2 for z/OS

Issue/Introduction

The required actions for the Database Management for Db2 for z/OS after upgrading the Db2 release, modes and Function levels are described
in the "Upgrade to New DB2 Releases, Modes, and Function Levels" in the product documentation.

Additional processing steps that are required for the SYSVIEW Performance Management Option for Db2 for z/OS (IDb2) are described in the description
of the "Complete SYSVIEW for Db2 Additional Processing".

For DB2VER parameter, the following is described:
Update the DB2VER=v.r SYSPARM parameter for the IDB2 data collector task in hlq.SOURCE(ssidSYSP) member.

Also, in the hlq.SOURCE(IDRWPRM), the DB2VER is specified. Should the DB2VER in the hlq.SOURCE(IDRWPRM) be changed after upgrading Db2?

Resolution

Yes, the value of the DB2VER parameter in the hlq.SOURCE(IDRWPRM) should be changed to the appropriate Db2 version before IDRWPRM is run.
(It is recommended that the DB2VER in the hlq.SOURCE(IDRWPRM) be set to the appropriate Db2 version after upgrading Db2.)
