Issue/Introduction

Just wanted to know if there is a way to run/execute any of the grid tools i.e. FDM, Datamaker, GTSubset from a client workstation?
The reason is, that there will be 1-3 individuals who can RDP into the app server, and down the road, server access will be restricted for direct use.

Also, we found out that when 2 users login at the same time and access FDM, any work done i.e. setting up connection details, is not visible to the other user.

Environment

Test Data Manager
TDM
FDM
DataMaker

Cause

N/A

Resolution

Datamaker and GTsubset can be installed on a client workstation and objects can be shared because they store and retrieve objects from the repository.
FDM is more or less a standalone product.
It can also be installed on a workstation (standalone).
To share objects you would have to set up a file share or something like that.

The current release of FDM has done away with the license requirement but each copy of the software would need a license unless you have a PLA with Broadcom.
