Steps to manually remove VAIM if uninstall fails.
Environment
Release : 12.9
Component : VPM GENERAL
Resolution
1. Stop All Virtual Assurance Services (highlighted in Step 2)
2. From a command prompt run
sc delete <Service Name> for any of the VAIM Services which were not removed from the below list:
When running
sc delete command you must provide the
Service name and not the
Display name (for some services they will not match):

3. Remove the following directories:
X:\CA\VirtualAssurance
X:\ProgramData\CA\SM
X:\Program Files (x86)\CA\SC:

4. Delete the following registry keys:
