Issue/Introduction

KEYSTORE_REF variable updated in client_nx.env  during mailbox definition .

Checking behavior regarding the KEYSTORE_REF variable when we define a mailbox with TLS set to yes.

Environment

Release : 17.1

Component : SERVICE DESK MANAGER

Resolution

When in Background server
we define mailbox for maileater with:

TLS : Yes  and CA certificate i.e.  C:\MY_TMP\mycacert.txt

--- > In NX_ROOT\site\client_nx.env is added :

Install , client , KEYSTORE_REF , WnFKAQekUWCfLDWL5bz7/KL2eIkx4zDxIKcszT3Cc5TS8AXqBbiGgsXuH4H92k6ml5houb/Xxic=

--- > In NX_ROOT\NX.env is added :

@NX_KEYSTORE_REF=WnFKAQekUWCfLDWL5bz7/KL2eIkx4zDxIKcszT3Cc5TS8AXqBbiGgsXuH4H92k6ml5houb/Xxic=

In --- > NX_ROOT\pdmconf is created nx.keystore

In  Standby servers,  only if the certificate is the same and in the same directory (CA certificate : C:\MY_TMP\mycacert.txt )

When started :

--- > In NX_ROOT\NX.env is added :

@NX_KEYSTORE_REF=WnFKAQekUWCfLDWL5bz7/KL2eIkx4zDxIKcszT3Cc5TS8AXqBbiGgsXuH4H92k6ml5houb/Xxic=

BUT

--- > In NX_ROOT\site\client_nx.env is NOT added :

Install , client , KEYSTORE_REF , WnFKAQekUWCfLDWL5bz7/KL2eIkx4zDxIKcszT3Cc5TS8AXqBbiGgsXuH4H92k6ml5houb/Xxic=

--- > In NX_ROOT\pdmconf is NOT created nx.keystore

When Standby server promoted to Background :

--- > In NX_ROOT\site\client_nx.env is added :

Install , client , KEYSTORE_REF , WnFKAQekUWCfLDWL5bz7/KL2eIkx4zDxIKcszT3Cc5TS8AXqBbiGgsXuH4H92k6ml5houb/Xxic=

--- > In NX_ROOT\pdmconf is created nx.keystore

In APPlication servers the variable KEYSTORE_REF is not added to client_nx.env and neither to the NX.env file. Also, no nx.keystore is created.

Note: maileater not running in APP servers.

This is the behavior observed as per the tests and this should not cause any issue due the keystore_ref when doing failover.
