Issue/Introduction

Using the CA Identity Manager Provisioning Server (imps) utility "etautil" command (below) to create account template on a SAP R3 directory, returns the error:

:ETA_E_1217, Unknown error 102 opening Common Object Repository

Resolution

The error:
ETA_E_1217, Unknown error 102 opening Common Object Repository

Relates to an incorrect user/password is wrong (-u/-p).
