Issue/Introduction

The "CA Message Queuing Service" on the provisioning server fails to start or modify C++ connector server endpoints with one of the below possible errors:



Error thrown when running "camstat" or "Cam Start" command:


Error:
The computer can't start because MSVCR71.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.

SA.log from C++ connector server error thrown:

CAFT Error : Unable to connect to CAM server.  CAFT Timeout : 1600

Environment

Release : 14.X

Component : CA IDENTITY MANAGER (IDENTITY MANAGER)

Resolution

The MSVCR71.dll error message is usually thrown because of missing or corrupted distribution packages. Please go into Microsoft Control Panel and remove any existing Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Packages then install them in the proper order of x86 then x64 and reboot the machine.

You may need to reinstall the Connector Server depending on possible corruption to the JCS/CCS
