Issue/Introduction

Can you please clarify if we can go ahead installing oozie_monitor 1.0 only on master nodes to have all the cluster monitored?
  • With oozie_monitor:
    • Oozie

Environment

Release : 9.0.2

Component : UIM - APACHE

Resolution

For monitoring Oozie Scheduler you need to deploy the probe on the host which contains Oozie Server Role.

Go to Cloudera Manager -> Oozie -> Instances tab -> here you should see the host where oozie_monotor can be deployed.
If you see more the one host (Oozie Server) then Oozie Scheduler uses High Availability mode. In this case for monitoring of these Oozie Servers will be enough to deploy one instance of the probe. Oozie_monitor detects High Availability mode and searces for servers and collects them to cluster.
