Issue/Introduction

This document states whether or not a wildcard value be used in a Sysview for DB2's IQL WHERE statement.

Environment

Release : 19.0

Component : CA Insight Database Performance Monitor for DB for z/OS

Resolution

Currently,  a wildcard value cannot be used in a Sysview for DB2 IQL WHERE statement. However, a combination of the WHERE & AND operators can be used to select a range of data. For example, to select all Workstations on the History file that begin with L5, you can code the following in the IDB2RWJ job:

//DBGIN DD *
GLOBALS
WHERE ENDUSER-WORKSTATION-VAR >= 'L5.........' AND <= 'L5999999999'
;

Note: ENDUSER-WORKSTATION & ENDUSER-WORKSTATION-LONG can also be used.
