Issue/Introduction

1. Create an Adhoc-View.
2. Add a filter for a column which contains a semi-colon. Example :- I have an Project with name "Learning Portal; Optimization".

3. Click on Filter.

Expected Results :- Project is filtered and only one row is shown.
Actual Results :- We receive error showing "An Error Occurred while performing the previous Request".

Cause

Jasper Query validator doesn't allow semi-colon ';'. This causes the code to be invalid and jasper throws an error.

Environment

Release : 15.x

Component : CA PPM SAAS JASPERSOFT

Resolution

You can't filter using values which have ';' in them. Removing the ';' from the value is the only option.
