Issue/Introduction

I am upgrading my Broker Monitor from the IIB10Fieldpack to iib-ia-dd040260-11.1.4.29. I am having issues transferring the settings from the old to the new installation. The bundle.properties entries don't match up with the entries in MBMonitor_10.properties and *.broker files.

I was trying to use the instructions from https://techdocs.broadcom.com/content/broadcom/techdocs/us/en/ca-enterprise-software/it-operations-management/dx-apm-saas/SaaS/implementing-agents/infrastructure-agent/IIB-Monitoring.html

But I wasn't successful.

Environment

Release : 11.1.0

Component : APM Agents

Resolution

Define the arbitrary name of brokers here:

introscope.agent.iib.profiles=a, b, c, d

then add the hostname for each broker.

For example

introscope.agent.iib.profiles.a.broker.host=server11

introscope.agent.iib.profiles.b.broker.host=server12

introscope.agent.iib.profiles.c.broker.host=server13

introscope.agent.iib.profiles.d.broker.host=server14

Then transfer values from old configuration as follows.

From MBMonitor_10.properties

a.host equals introscope.agent.iib.profiles.a.qm.host

a.port equals introscope.agent.iib.profiles.a.qm.port

a.broker.configfile not defined and not needed

From a.broker file

host="server11” equals introscope.agent.iib.profiles.a.broker.host

listenerPort="14003" equals introscope.agent.iib.profiles.a.broker.port

userName="XXXXXXX" equals introscope.agent.iib.profiles.a.broker.user

password="YYYYYYYY" equals introscope.agent.iib.profiles.a.broker.password

Repeat the process for the rest of the brokers.
