As an administrator you might require to upgrade or install computers with the latest Windows operating system, or uninstall unsupported versions of the Windows operating systems, and perform tasks such as creating disk image, backup and restore image.

A WinPE image is used to prepare a computer for all the tasks that you want to run in the pre-boot environment. Ghost solution lets you install and configure multiple WinPE environments. Currently you can install the following versions of WinPE:

  • 3.1

  • 4.0

  • 5.x

  • 10

    Note:

WinPE 10 is not supported from the Ghost Standard Tools 3.1 up to and including 3.1 MP1.

WinPE 10 is supported in Ghost Standard Tools 3.1 MP2.
