Issue/Introduction

Symantec EDR 4.2.1 Update Release is a software update only, which addresses the following issues:

• Unhandled exception during SEDR - SEPM communication that can cause Group Inclusion to be removed and endpoints unenrolled
• Memory leak that applies only to SEDR Network scanner and “All-In-One” deployments
• Issue for improperly combining multiple endpoints into one endpoint entity

Note: There is no new OVA or ISO in this release.

Additional information

• Device is encountering low resource condition" (Memory Usage is Very High) on SEDR VM, 8840 or 8880 appliance
• Duplicate 4123 events are recorded by Symantec EDR when SEP databases are replicated
• SEDR removed the groups from its Group Inclusion list when receiving 500 error from SEPM
