Symantec is announcing the end-of-availability (EOA) for the Data Loss Prevention Pack for IT Analytics and Symantec Endpoint Protection Pack for IT Analytics beginning on April 3, 2017.
Specifically this affects the IT Analytics installation using Symantec Installation Manager together with the Symantec Management Platform (SMP). Starting from 8.1 version of the SMP, if you upgrade or perform clean 8.1 version installation, the DLP and SEP content packs for IT Analytics will no longer be available.
Symantec is recommending that customers install the standalone versions of DLP and SEP pack for IT Analytics.
You can find the standalone SEP content pack for IT Analytics in the Tools folder of the Symantec Endpoint Protection installation file that you download from MySymantec.
The ITAnalytics folder contains the SEP content pack msi and user documentation.
You can download the standalone DLP content pack for IT Analytics zip file from the Data Loss Prevention product list directly at MySymantec.
The following videos provide information on how to install the standalone IT Analytics Server with the Symantec Data Loss Prevention content pack and on how to work with the IT Analytics Server Cube Browsers for Symantec Endpoint Protection and Data Loss Prevention users:
If you have DLP and SEP packs for IT Analytics installed in your environment, you will have to uninstall them before upgrading to SMP version 8.1.
No changes have been introduced to the Client Server Management Pack for IT Analytics and ServiceDesk Pack for IT Analytics support.
