IT Management Suite 7.6

Starting from IT Management Suite 7.6, Symantec Management Platform and related solutions support the management of Solaris 11 computers.

Resolution

List of supported solutions

IT Management Suite provides support for the following Solaris 11 client computers:

  • Solaris 11 x86
  • Solaris 11 SPARC

The Full Support functionality is limited to the following components and solutions of the IT Management Suite:

  • Network Discovery
  • Symantec Management Agent for UNIX, Linux, and Mac
  • Task Management
  • Deployment Solution
  • Inventory Solution
  • Monitor Solution
  • Patch Management
  • Software Management
  • Virtual Machine Management. 

Note:

The components and solutions that are not explicitly listed, are not supported. The usage of those might lead to undesirable outcomes.

 

Known limitations

The known issues for Solaris 11 client computers are as follows:
