Linux server may crash or stop responding after upgrading to SEP (Symantec Endpoint Protection) 14.2 RU1
If the server is not rebooted immediately after the upgrade of SEP then other subsquent kernel-level operations may crash or stop responding (e.g. an NFS client mounting a share hosted by this server). This is a potential problem only after an upgrade of SEP and if the server is not rebooted.
To avoid this possible problem, reboot any server after upgrading its SEP installation.
This issue is fixed in Symantec Endpoint Protection 184.108.40.206 (RU2 MP1) For information on how to obtain the latest build of Symantec Endpoint Protection, see Download the latest version of Symantec Endpoint Protection.
