Alarm status in SCOM is ?Forward Pending? on Alerts successfully send to Spectrum from SCOM Connector.

Issue/Introduction

The Alerts are send to Spectrum correct, but in SCOM the status of the alarm is "Forward Pending".

The status changes to "Successfully forwarded" when the Alarm is acknowledged in Spectrum.

Resolution

This is FAD ( functioning as designed ) because SCOMConnector/Spectrum does not send Acknowledgement to Operations Manager Connector Service once it received an Alert from SCOM. Therefore the status "Forward Pending" is kept. Once the Alert is acknowledge in Spectrum, Operations Manager Service treats this as 'Ack' for this Alert and changes the forwarding status to "Successfully Forwarded".
