Issue/Introduction

Control Compliance Suite (CCS)

You see inordinately High CPU utilization on SQL server housing CCS databases

Environment

CCS 12.6.x

Cause

Compatibility mode on SQL server is incorrectly set.

Resolution

CCS requires an SQL database compatibility mode level of 100.

Use SQL Management Studio to connect to the SQL server(s) that house the CSM_DB and CSM_Reports databases.  Go to the Properties on the Database and the advanced settings where you can change the compatibility mode to level 100 (SQL 2008 R2 level).

Changing this setting and restarting the SQL server services should result in CPU utilization reductions.
