In the Symantec Protection for SharePoint Servers (SPSS) console, when looking at the scan engines and their statistics under "List and Edit Registered Symantec Protection Engines" during real-time scanning, statistics do not update
In contrast to this, statistics do update when performing a manual or scheduled scan:
These two situations are different due to how SPSS receives the file for scanning from SharePoint via VSAPI.
This behavior is expected and does not indicate that SPSS or the Protection Engine scanner are malfunctioning.
