How to remove patches after they have been scheduled in the Symantec Management Agent (SMA)?

There are two ways to remove schedule patches from the SMA is either to disable the software update policy for the patch, or to remove the computer from the target that the software update policy is using.
Once either of the above are done, updating the configuration on the SMA will then remove the scheduled patch from it.
