Issue/Introduction
How to import computers from specific OUs in Active Directory into the IT Mangement Suite (ITMS) Computer Management Database (CMDB).
Environment
ITMS 8.1.x and ITMS 8.5.x
Resolution
Using the Symantec Management Console, go to Actions>Discover>Import Microsoft Active Directory.
Click on "Import Computer resources from <your domain name> starting from (none) and using the default column mappings. Import all computers on the specified schedules."
Verify that your domain name is correct (red arrow above). Then click on " (none)" (purple arrow above), you will see something similar to the following:
Uncheck the button at the root level (red arrow above).
Choose the OUs from which you want to import computers and click "OK".
Click "Save Changes" (Red Arrow above) and then click on one of the two buttons (highlighted in yellow above). One is a "Full Import" and the other is the "Update Import".
