Issue/Introduction

Browsing the Manage > Software page and you see the following error after clicking on a software filter:

An error has occurred that prevents the data displaying. Check server logs for details. 

Furthermore you see the same error in the right pane of the Console:

Entry in the SMP Logs:

Failed to run filter.

Resolution

Reconfigure the ITMS Management Views using the Symantec Installation Manager (SIM)

  1. Open SIM
  2. Click Repair installed products
  3. Reconfigure installed products
  4. Check ITMS Management Views (Note: Dependent solutions will automatically be checked as well)
  5. Click Next and proceed through the configuration
