Issue/Introduction

You would like to know if Symantec Data Loss Prevention (DLP) is able to inspect Base64, ROT13 encoded files.

Environment

DLP 15.x, and 16,x

Resolution

DLP is not able to inspect and alert on base64, ROT13 encoded files. It would create too much processing overhead to decode each file otherwise.

This is being tracked as a product enhancement request under PM-2251.
