Network Discover File System Scan failing with Unknown Error due to Missing Windows System File Net.exe

Issue/Introduction

When the customer starts a newly created Discover scan and sees the following Unknown error 

Discover  File reader log shows the following :-

Feb 12, 2018 5:46:25 PM com.vontu.discover.mount.mounter.DefaultMountPointMapper parseResult

 

WARNING: Command Standard Output: status:9009

 Command Standard Error: 'net' is not recognized as an internal or external command,

 

operable program or batch file.

Environment

DLP Network Discover 

Cause

Windows System File Net.exe  was missing on the Discover Server in c:\windows\system 32 directory 

 

Resolution

We copied the net.exe file from another machine  to the c:\windows\system32 directory of the Discover Machine and ran the discover scan successfully.
