How to setup access profiles to manage CloudSOC Admin accounts.

Resolution

  1.  If you have not already done so, login to CloudSOC with your System Administrator credentials.
  2.  On the CloudSOC menu bar, choose Users > Access Profiles . The Users & Groups page opens with the Access Profiles tab at the front.
  3.  Click New and choose Access Profile .
  4.  In the Profile Details area, enter a name and description.
  5.  In the Configure Access Profile Permissions area use the tools on the CloudSOC Apps tab to set permissions for the various CloudSOC apps. You must enable at least one permission to at least one app.

When the admin uses CloudSOC, the nav bar shows only the apps to which they have at least one permission.

  1.  On the Cloud Services tab, choose the cloud services over which the admin has control, and the permissions that they hold for the service. If necessary, use the Search box to find the services of interest. You must enable at least one permission to at least one service.
    • When the admin uses CloudSOC, the Securlet menu shows only the services to which they have at least one permission.
    • When the admin uses CloudSOC apps such as Detect and Investigate, they can only see details for incidents on the services to which they have at least view permission.
  2.  On the Information Level tab, choose the level of information that CloudSOC reveals to users with the access profile. For a full description of how to use this tab, see the CloudSOC Tech Note Managing CloudSOC User Privacy Features .
  3.  On the Global Settings tab, choose the tabs on the CloudSOC settings page ( <username> > Settings) that admins with the profile can use. When the admin opens the CloudSOC Settings page, they only see the tabs for which they have at least one permission.
  4.  On the Domain Control tab, choose the domains for the profile. Admins with the profile can only view and control users and data associated with those domains. The available domains are your primary and secondary domains shown on the Settings > General tab.
  5.  Near the upper right corner of the window, click Save Profile .
