Support for the Guardium agent on the DLP database

Issue/Introduction

Is the Guardium agent supported on the DLP database?

We have not tested the Guardium agent on our database and do not have any supportability statement regarding the Guardium agent on our database.
Symantec/Broadcom cannot offer any support for using the Guardium agent on our database.
Our Professional Services may be able to assist you with integrating the Guardium agent with the DLP database.

Resolution

Symantec recommends performing a cold backup of the DLP Oracle database before performing an installation of Guardium.

Testing and monitoring should be performed for any performance issues as Guardium will add another layer of encryption to the DLP database which is already encrypted
