The Endpoint Protection Insight feature gathers and stores data. Where is this data kept and for how long is it retained?
SEP 12.1 and SEP 14 using the Insight feature
The data collected by Insight is stored on a cloud service based in the USA. The data is replicated regularly to the USA, Ireland, Japan and India in order to resolve immediate False Negative/False Positive issues. Additionally, product teams in other countries will have access to these files as part of their development cycle.
The data is not deleted after a specific length of time. However, only one instance of each file will be stored.
