Issue/Introduction

Description:

If I want to extend the expiration date of an existing certificate that has yet not expired, could I specify something like this? -

TSS RENEW(CERTAUTH) DIGICERT(CYBAUTH) NADATE(12/31/19) NATIME(23:59:59)

If so, will all the other certificate attributes, such as the SUBJECTN and ALTNAME parameters, remain intact?

Please refer to the CA Top Secret Command Function Guide for more details about the TSS RENEW command.

Solution:

That command will renew the certificate, keep everything the same, and reset the expiration date.

There is a limitation to the TSS RENEW command. That command can ONLY be used on certificates created by CA Top Secret.
