Issue/Introduction

If you want to extend the expiration date of an existing digital certificate that has yet not expired, can you specify something like this?

   TSS RENEW(CERTAUTH) DIGICERT(CYBAUTH) NADATE(12/31/23) NATIME(23:59:59)

If so, will all the other certificate attributes, such as the SUBJECTN and ALTNAME parameters, remain intact?

Resolution

That command will renew the certificate, keep everything the same, and reset the expiration date. There is a limitation to the TSS RENEW command. That command can ONLY be used on certificates created by Top Secret.
