The customer installed some Solutions manually. When he tries to use those Solutions, he gets some Licenses errors referring that there are not valid licenses applied. When he tries to open SIM to verify that those Solutions have valid licenses, those Solutions doesn't appear the all.
Why doesn't Symantec Installation Manager (SIM) display license information for those Solutions?
This can occur when installing Solutions using the MSIs rather than SIM. If a Solution is installed manually (without SIM), SIM doesn't have a record that it is installed, so it doesn't display that it is currently installed and what licenses are applied.
The Solution must be contained in the Product Listing so that SIM can detect and display it. However, if you apply for a valid license when it doesn't appear that is installed in SIM, SMP will detect the certificate created and apply it to the corresponding Solution. Make sure you have a valid license. Then, Apply those licenses through SIM and then restart the Altiris Services.
