Probes(Nas, Alarm Enrichment) not starting on hub server

Issue/Introduction

nas, alarm_enrichment and other probes are failing on hub server.

With errors in Nas logs,

Feb 22 21:52:42:682 [5336] nas: maint:  Unable to obtain nimNamedSession for registration to: maintenance_mode
Feb 22 21:54:47:700 [5336] nas: maint:  Unable to obtain nimNamedSession for registration to: maintenance_mode
Feb 22 21:56:52:720 [5336] nas: maint:  Unable to obtain nimNamedSession for registration to: maintenance_mode
Feb 22 21:58:40:144 [5304] nas: NAS Services called using mode: 0
Feb 22 21:58:41:686 [5304] nas: Unable to obtain session for alarmEnrichmentTerminate.  attempts: 1/3

And alarm enrichment logs:

Controller: Probe 'alarm enrichment' FAILED to start (command = ../../../..//bin/java.exe -Xms 64m -Xmx1024m -Dfile.encoding-UTF-8 -jar ../lib/alarm_enrichment.jar) error = (2)  The system cannot find the file specified.

Release : 9.0.2

Component : Nas , Alarm enrichment

Resolution

Check Under the controller the environment variables are missing, If yes add them and restart the services. 

Steps followed:

1. goto hub controller
2. goto configure
3. check for java_jre installed packages under status
4. Check for environment variables under setup
5. As they are missing added, variables NIM_JRE_HOME and NIM_JRE_HOME_1_8 with values
6. Restart the robot

The nas and alarm enrichment are up.
