Issue/Introduction

We have IT Process Automation setup to use Siteminder for Single Sign On, and have EEM configured to connect to our Active Directory server, but the login attempts fail.

Environment

Release : 4.3, 4.3 sp3, 4.3 sp4

Resolution

This configuration is not supported. 
To utilize Siteminder Single Sign-On with IT Process Automation then EEM must be configured to point to the CA SiteMinder Policy Server objects using the Reference from CA SiteMinder Userstore Configuration option.



Configure CA EEM Server to Point to CA SiteMinder Policy Server Objects
To configure CA EEM server to point to CA SiteMinder Policy Server objects, access the CA EEM Administrator UI.

Additional Information

Supporting Siteminder SSO with EEM configured to point at an LDAP server instead of at the SiteMinder Policy Server objects will require a redesign of IT Process Automation's login / authentication layer in a future release.   If you would like to see this functionality added to the software please submit an enhancement request:
