Issue/Introduction

After putting a load balancer in front of a multiple-node EEM cluster, users cannot log in to the Admin UI

Environment

Release : CA Service Management 17.x

Component : CA Embedded Entitlements Manager 12.6.x

Resolution

Multi-node EEM is a failover-based system, not designed to be behind a load balancer - in the documentation it is described as setting up primary/secondary nodes.

CA Embedded Entitlements Manager 12.6-How to Set Up a Failover Environment

So everything is working correctly - if you want to log in to the EEM UI you should go to one of the nodes, rather than a load balancer in front of it. Similarly, embedding products are given a list of the nodes rather than pointed to a balancing front-end.
